Age Revitalising Eye Defence

Age Revitalising Eye Defence

So, here’s the thing, I haven’t always been a fan of eye cream. In fact, I had stopped using them for years until I was sent a few different types to try. The thing with an eye cream is that it needs to be doing something other than just plumping the area. Any hydrating moisturiser can do that. But with active ingredients, I know there is a huge difference. That’s why I wrote this post

Let me introduce you to Age Revitalising Eye Defence by Enbacci. This eye cream contains stem cells from the Uttwiler Spätlauber, a rare variety of swiss orchid apples. “According to the International Journal of Applied Science, a mere 0.1% concentration of stem cells from the Uttwiler Spätlauber can proliferate a wealth of human stem cells by an astounding 80%, and reduce the appearance of wrinkle depth by 8% in as little as two weeks.”

Now, I know I said I don’t want an eye cream that only plumps, but I still want that effect in an eye cream. Hydrating the under-eye area makes you look more awake, healthier even. As well as that, this stem cell infused eye cream is full of vitamins A, B, C and E – amino acids, peptides, antioxidants and essential fatty acids – to help with “skin cell communication and regeneration, boosts collagen production, and protects the skin from future free radical assault.”

The Age Revitalising Eye Defence cream is also very light on the eyes. Using a super heavy cream can, unfortunately, lead to milia, which I just happen to be prone to. It’s also great under makeup, as it actually absorbs into the skin, not sitting on top creating a slippery barrier.

I sent a few questions across to Yong-Li, cofounder of Enbacci, to find out more about what makes this eye cream so good.

Why do we need an eye cream?

The skin around our eye area is thinner and more delicate than the skin around the rest of the face. As such, the skin around the eyes is less able to retain moisture, which is why we typically start seeing the signs of ageing (fine lines and wrinkles) around the eye area first. Including an eye cream into your skincare routine helps to protect this delicate skin and prevent the appearance of the signs of ageing.

What makes an eye cream superior to say a standard facial moisturiser?

I wouldn’t say “superior” is the correct word to describe an eye cream. Rather, it has a specific function to hydrate your eye area, just like a cleanser functions to remove oil and dirt from the surface of the skin. You need to look at the ingredients used in an eye cream. When we formulate eye creams, we are looking to include active ingredients that target the problems around the eye area, but we also need to ensure that the formulation is suited to the delicate nature of the skin around the eyes.

What makes the Age Revitalising Eye Defence cream different to other options on the market?

There are a few things that make the Age Revitalising Eye Defence so amazing. Firstly, we use two kinds of actives in here, apple stem cells and one that is a combination that includes the Dunelia Salina Extract. These ingredients have clinically shown to have marvellous results on crow’s feet and wrinkles on their own, so you can only imagine how much more potent the Age Revitalising Eye Defence is with both of them! Secondly, we designed this product to be lightweight so that there is no dragging or heaviness around the delicate skin of your eyes. Lastly, it was designed, created and made all here in Australia.

Age Revitalising Eye Defence retails for $88 – This may sound steep, but again, it has specific ingredients designed for the sensitive eye area. Check this and other Enbacci products out at www.enbacci.com
