Electrolytes

Electrolytes – we usually associate these with sports drinks, right? Well, what they do is conduct electricity when combined with water. Made up of minerals including potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, hydrogen phosphate, and hydrogen carbonate, they work to keep your body functioning as it should. This includes everything from hydration to nervous impulses to the contraction of muscles. Pretty essential! But did you know that they are amazing for your skin?

While the things we consume, including electrolytes, impact our skin, using them topically allows your skin to soak up the benefits. Electrolytes are linked to the skin’s natural moisturising factor, allowing them to work within the epidermal water channels to deliver vital hydrators.

Being amazing hydrators, you would think electrolytes would be good for only those with dryer skin, however they are proven to help the ingredients from other skincare products like vitamins, ceramides and other active ingredients perform better. They also help maintain the skins moisture balance, strengthen its barrier, and create a healthier, more energised appearance, making them great for all skin types.

Enbacci

A brand I have shared on my blog before, Enbacci, which uses fruit stem cells to deliver antioxidants, anti-aging and other benefits to the skin, has recently come out with 2 sheet masks. “Enbacci’s new sheet masks contain embryonic fruit stem cells that are capable of changing to any type of cell found in a host environment. When applied to human skin, these cells seek out and synthesise to damaged receptors and adopt the cells structural coding. Due to self-regulating growth factors and proteins, new healthy cells divide and proliferate rapidly to renew skin and repair damage from within”. The combination of electrolytes and stem cells helps to deliver all the benefits possible from these amazing ingredient’s!

The Masks

Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating Mask

Developed to restore balance and glow to dehydrated, damaged and distressed skin, the Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating Mask is cultivated from grape stem cells that contain youth-enhancing epigenetic factors and metabolites. Offering an instant dose of nourishment, the Vitis Vinifera mask supports the skin’s natural repair process by delivering antioxidants deep within the epidermis in order to reverse UV-related damage, reduce redness and inflammation, even skin tone, and strengthen youth-perfecting collagen and elastin structures. Unfold and place onto clean skin for 15-20 minutes. Remove and massage excess serum into the skin for maximum rejuvenation. The mask can also be used as an intensive overnight treatment”.

$20 RRP (1 mask) / $73 RRP (5 masks)

Age Revitalising Face Defence Mask

“Harvesting stem cells from the Uttwiler Spätlauber genus of apples and Leucojum Aestivum Bulb Extract, the Age Revitalising Face Defence Mask is rich in antioxidants that help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and skin fatigue. Improving the longevity of human skin cells, the mask delays the physical telltale signs of premature ageing while simultaneously promoting skin vitality and youthfulness. The botulinum effects of Leucojum Aestivum Bulb Extract mimics that of botox by plumping the skin from within for a more fuller appearance. Protecting the skin from oxidative stress, the mask is formulated to lighten dark spots and hyper-pigmentation caused by the sun. Unfold and place onto clean skin for 15-20 minutes. Remove and massage excess serum into the skin for maximum rejuvenation. The mask can also be used as an intensive overnight treatment”.

$23 RRP (1 mask) / $85 RRP (5 masks)

I know that some people will look at the prices and think it’s a little much, Before I studied Beauty Therapy I thought exactly the same of other brands. But you have to consider the ingredients and technology that go into creating products like this. Yes, you could go and get a Korean Beauty mask for $5 (no hate, I love them and use them regularly), but the ingredients aren’t at the same strength or purity and there are usually more additives. It’s nice to really treat your skin occasionally.

Both of these masks are incredible, but I love a sheet mask at night! I’m about to use one as a matter of fact. It’s Friday night, I’m staying away from people and at home pampering is just a little bit amazing!
