I am a lipstick hoarder! I literally have hundreds, yet it doesn’t seem to be enough! Recently, I was able to get my hands on four beautiful vegan lipstick shades from The Makeup Factory’s Vegan Lips range.
First of all, a little bit about The Makeup Factory. It’s a brand that ‘believes sustainable, earth friendly and chemical free beauty products are not only possible, but also kind of vital.’ Their products can make you look good without compromising your health or that of our planet.
The Makeup Factory is made 30% in the US and 70% Aus with the goal of being 100% Australian made. It all comes down to sourcing the best ingredients to create such high-quality products.
Their range consists of everything from foundation to mascara and of course, LIPSTICK
The Vegan Lips are a beautiful soft matte finish. This means the product doesn’t dry down and make you look like you’re wearing chalk. They aren’t ‘kiss proof’ but are definitely long wearing and don’t fade in an unflattering way. Of the 4 colours I tried, I would say the formula is very consistent.
- Stevie – a warm toned light brown nude. Usually, I wouldn’t go for this kind of nude with my fair skin. However, I really like it. Very flattering for most complexions
- Deborah – This one is a darker mauve colour. It could be considered nude for some people. It shows a little dark on my lips, but I love it.
- Sadie – a really deep, dark plum. This one is perfect for those who are embracing dark lips and the 90s trend. I’m not sure I can pull this colour off personally, but think it’s quite nice.
- Sienna – by far my favourite. Sienna is a gorgeous fuchsia pink. Nice and bright just how I like my lipsticks.
Check out The Makeup Factory for these colours and many more products!
