My 2 must have skin hydrating products
I’ve been using fave and skincare for years. When I was younger it was whatever was affordable. At 30, I’ve tried more products then I can remember. High and low end, even home made or things from the kitchen pantry. In the end, it all comes down to what works for you and your skin. You have to factor in location, climate, weather, age, skin type, allergies… the list goes on.
I am at the extreme end of combination. Dry and itchy on my body, dry cheeks, oily forehead and chin, and a nose that is literally flaking and oily all at once! I’m also really sensitive and hate smelly products. My skincare changes all the time, but I’ve found 2 products that are essential no matter the other changes I make.
For my face – Low-Molecular HA Multi-depth rehydration booster by Hylamide.
This clear gel/serum contains 5 variants of Hyaluronic Acid –
VERY LOW-MOLECULAR HA
Offers rehydration with better topical absorption than ordinary HA
Hyaluronic Acid Ferment
Purified non-animal source hyaluronic acid for oil-free surface hydration
Low-molecular form of HA to support lower to middle skin rehydration
Novel technology acts as a precursor to HA and encourages a plump look
Tamarind-derived HA technology improves the look of skin elasticity
Hyaluronic acid holds up to 1000 times its weight in water so you’re getting a major hydration boost with every application of this products. Even if I don’t do my full skincare routine, I always use this product!
For my body – Deluxe Shea Butter
I’ve only had this product for a couple of months but I love it. Of course, I have used Shea butter as an ingredient in other products but this stuff is 100% pure, organic and unrefined.
Shea butter is a fat extracted from the nuts of the African Shea tree and is used for everything from medical ointment, massage oil, dry, eczema and psoriasis affected skin, to cooking when at its A grade form. On top of being the most amazing moisturiser, it’s also known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
I first used Deluxe Shea Butter on my elbows because literally nothing else would get rid of the dryness. Within 20 minutes I noticed that my skin had absorbed it and my elbows were 10 times softer. I’ve noticed instant relief from itching also.
I’d you suffer from dry skin, I 110% recommend these 2 products. Not just because they work for me but because there is research to back the use of hyaluronic acid and Shea butter bitter.
